My office would be happy to work with you to schedule a tour of the U.S. Capitol. The Capitol Guide Service conducts free guided tours of the Capitol Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Capitol is unavailable for tours on Sundays.

The first public tour begins each day at 9:30 A.M. and the last at 3:30 PM. Tours last approximately thirty to forty minutes.

The Capitol is closed to the public on the following Federal holidays: New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Occasionally, a special event such as a visit by a Head of State may temporarily suspend guided tours.

Please contact my office several weeks to two months in advance of your anticipated tour date to schedule a date and time.

The White House

Whitehouse Due to heightened security measures, one may only obtain a tour of the White House through a Congressional office. As a result, tours of the White House are extremely limited. Therefore, my office cannot guarantee a tour of the White House.

In order to best serve you, please submit requests for a White House tour as far in advance as possible. My office recommends requesting a tour of the White House as much as six months to a year in advance. Please also note that White House tours are only available Tuesdays through Saturdays.

To schedule a tour, please contact my tour coordinator with the following information:

  • Your name
  • A contact phone number
  • Available dates to tour
  • Number of people
Please send the e-mail to tours_webb@webb.senate.gov
